Never Never Land
Never Never Land is a whole new world for your little ones to explore. Endless, free-roaming adventures await your children, from arts and craft workshops, to storytelling, nature walks and building dens in the woods. Never Never Land is looked after by a creative bunch of pixies, who will ensure your child is in safe hands whilst they let their imaginations run wild.
Our kids area will be open from 3pm-6pm Friday and 10am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Here are a few activities which you will find in the Kids Area.
“No fairy tale is complete without a castle so we’re thrilled to be welcoming South West Art Workshops to help us build one to share in our craft tent in the kids area! Come join in and watch it grow over the weekend!”
With over a decade in the arts, South West Art Workshops have brought together a huge portfolio of artists and workshops for all abilities and ages. Joining us for the first time this year, they’re looking forward to having your help to build their craft castle throughout the weekend so get ready to get creative.
Once upon a time, all story books started with a beautiful illuminated letter. Let Emily and friends show you how to make your own using lino printing and take home your own part of the Wonder Fields story.
“Come and get scientific with fizzy, bubbly potions and slime making for all the children to take home! Will your slime be glittery, colourful, smelly or even all three? You decide in this hands on workshop”
“This hair raising show is full of fun with lightning, human circuits and giant chemical reactions, plus you may even learn something!”
Communal Art Project creating Wonder Fields’ very own fairy-tale storybook- art installation made by Wonder Kidz! The workshop will run on the Friday & Saturday so the finished book will complete the installation by Saturday afternoon to be read & enjoyed.
One of the Wonder Family’s firm favourites, Dan Best and his team of wise woodland folk will teach you green woodwork and open your eyes to the wilds just outside your door.
Great fairy tales can be retold and recycled, making old stories new, time and time again . Make that old milk bottle into a fabulous new mask with Fiona Hobson and discover your very own “Once upon a time…”
Since completing her degree, Fiona Hobson aka the Patchwork Junkie has continued exploring the use of waste materials in art and design. From her original upcycled patchwork bags to living plant necklaces, Fiona brings a unique perspective on sustainability and our attitude to “waste”.
Join her in the kids’ field and make your very own mask from recycled materials.
“Keep your eyes peeled in the Wonder Fields and you might spot a fairy! Ask nicely and she might even grant you a wish…”
“Meg the Fairy Queen and her mystical fairies have kindly agreed to sprinkle some fairy dust in Never Never Land this year. Bringing magic everywhere they go, listen in to their stories or make a wish and they’ll be delighted to meet you.”
